Categorising your posts

Having unorganised posts on my own blog really annoyed me so much especially when I wanted to look for a specific post. Everything looked unsystematic and random. So, in order to solve this problem, I searched for some tutorials on organising blog's posts on the internet but the problem came when I found that they were too complicated for me. After thinking for a solution for quite some time, I finally found a simple way to categorise my posts! Therefore, I'm going to share it with everyone who is facing the same problem as me =)

Let's say that I want to put all my graphic tutorials under one category entitled 'Graphic Tutorials', then these are what I need to do.

First, go to Customize, Posting and select Edit Posts. Then, select all the posts which are to be grouped together under one category.

Go to Label Actions and click on New Label [ignore all the labels above the New Label as they have nothing to do with this tutorial]

Then, enter the name for your category as the label of your posts. I'm going to use 'Graphic Tutorial'.

Click Ok and you can now see that your posts have been labeled but wait, we're not done yet :3

Next, go to Layout, Page Elements and select Add a Gadget on the area where you would like you 'Categories' to be in. Select HTML/JavaScript.

Now comes the most important part. Enter a title [I'm going to use 'Categories'] and type the codes below in the box:

It will look something like this:

Click Save and voila, you're done. If you want to add more categories, just repeat the steps above. Here is the sample of the codes for my blog =)

Feel free to ask if you have any problem.
