Happy Chinese New Year

The wonderful celebration is here again and welcome to the year of ox!

Today I had a dinner with my family and relatives. It's a tradition anyway. The best thing is we had too much food since some of my dad's friends sent them to our house. It was good since we could gather and eat together. We had a barbecue after that =)

After we were done with the dinner, the best part of CNY finally arrived! It was time to receive the red packets!! Here are what I got tonight =D

Then, I had my first fortune cookies of the year and my paper said "You have a heart of gold". I have no idea what does it mean.

By that time, I could already hear the sound of fireworks everywhere. So yeah, I took some videos using my phone cam and some of the fireworks belong to us.

I still have more videos but I guess those are enough~

So, Happy Chinese New Year everyone!!!!

Taman Muhibah, Sibu

Here is another great eating place in Sibu which I would like to introduce to my blog's visitors. The good thing about this place is there are various kinds of foods available and they are cooked by people from different races.

The stalls will normally begin operating around 6pm and we went to this one.

The reason why we chose this stall was because of its famous Mixed-Fruits Ice.

When the ice melted.

I like the crispy Salad Sotong too~

And here is the Fried Pandan Chicken.

Sibu is flooded!! [again]

It has been raining non-stop for two days here and the water level keeps on rising until today. It is certainly not a good thing since some of the schools have to be closed down and even me can't get out of the house now. Not to mention our car which is trapped outside.

Special noodle

I went to a restaurant located next to PruMegamoh, Sibu this morning and found out that they served s special noodle there. The soup is made of fresh milk and there were fried Silver Catfish mixed together with the noodle as well. Each bowl only costs RM4.50 and it's worth eating because of its great taste.

Also, I saw this on my way home. It has been raining a lot lately. This picture is taken from inside the car so it's not that clear since the car was moving.

Welcome to 2009

I would like to wish Happy New Year to everyone especially to my family and friends. The New Year's celebration here in Sibu, Sarawak has started since yesterday at the Town Square. However, I didn't go there to celebrate it since that place was freaking crowded. But guess what? I still got to see fireworks from my room starting from around 11:45pm until 12:15am =p

So, now I'm going to talk about what I did with my family today on this brand new year. It's not too great or awesome but I hope you'll enjoy reading it.

First of all, we went to one of the best cafes in Sibu called Cafe Cafe to have our lunch there. This cafe will be opened at 12pm till 11pm everyday except for Monday. I like the environment inside since it was quite dark and there was music as well to soothe your mind. In addition, they would provide free WiFi for the customers and I found that the internet speed was quite fast. This cafe even has a second floor which is normally used for functions and parties. Thus, it has became one of my favourite hangout locations with family and friends =)

Here are what we had there.

Oriental Grilled Chicken

Omelette Fried Rice with Cincalok

Pineapple Fried Rice

Cheese Baked Chicken Chop Rice

Penang Fried Kuey Tiaw

Ice-Cream with Banana Pancake

Icy Mocha Latte

Float Coke

You can see Watermelon Juice, Apple Juice and another drink which I failed to remember its name here.

Yes, the meals tasted really yummy.

Always remember to drop by this cafe when you come to Sibu and do bring extra money XD

Our next destination was NgiuKee, a supermarket which has been operating for a long time.

They were having sales there.

Buying DVD player.

Next, we went to the Daesim Mart to look around.

We were surprised to see that it was full of people. Later after that, we realized that they were organizing an Explosive Sale there.

Shopping.

We went home after that and did our own stuffs =)
