Cake pwnz

I baked a chocolate cake today based on a recipe I found on the internet. I don't feel like typing much but this is what I produced.

But then, I figured that it looked too plain so I decided to add more decoration until it turned out to be like

Night market

The night market is definitely one of the must go places if you're coming to Sibu. It is a place where you can buy food, clothes, accessories etc but what matters the most to me is the food. More than half of the whole area is occupied different food stalls selling Malay and Chinese cuisines and obviously, the halal and non-halal sections are separated.

I went there last night with my aunt and sisters. It was freaking crowded but I managed to take some pictures. It wasn't easy because I didn't want to attract anyone's attention even though I was using my phone.

Guess what? We ended up buying variety of food. Perhaps, too much. LOL. Gotta love the nice and unique flavors anyways~

The Ark Cafe & Gallery

I went out for lunch with my aunt today and we were clueless about what to eat until we saw this place. The design of the building somehow attracted my attention.

We walked into it and wow.. it was such a nice place with peaceful environment and soothing music. There were paintings hung on the walls. No wonder it has the word "Gallery" in its name. The cafe has its second floor as well.

Guess what? I could even see the Rejang River from my seat XD

I bet that place will look even more wonderful at night with all the lighting. The only thing it lacks is free Wi-Fi.

The cafe serves Thai, Korean, Western, and other Asian cuisines, but mostly That food. They are all prepared by a chef from Thailand.

Here are what we had:

Grilled Chicken Chop which looked more like a serving for 2 persons.

Pandan Chicken.

Prawn Popia.

Ice Blended Chocolate.

Chocolate Latte.

Overall, the taste was ok but it wasn't that splendid. If I had to rate, I would give 3 out of 5. The meals were slightly cheaper than that in Cafe Cafe though.

Once we were done with that, we walked outside and looked at the polluted Rejang River which looks like milk tea now. How sad.

It was cloudy when we drove away. I thought it would rain but it didn't. Lol. I managed to take a snapshot of the sky from the inside of the moving car.

Simple sushi recipe

My aunt suddenly came to our house this evening saying that she wanted to make sushi. I just joined her since I was bored and free.

Here are the ingredients required:

Seaweeds

Rice mixed with vinegar and sugar according to your liking while it's still hot

Boiled and sliced hot dogs [frankfurters]

Sliced cucumbers

Sliced eggs

Mayonnaise

Soy sauce for sushi

It's easy to make the sushi. Just placed the rice, cucumber, hot dog and egg on the seaweed like this:

Then roll it. Squeeze firmly to make sure the sushi roll is tightly packed.

Sliced the sushi roll.

Finally, squeeze the mayonnaise on top of your sushi and eat it with soy sauce.

I made a special one for myself where there are only rice, hot dog and lots of eggs inside XD

Easy and simple, right? Try it yourself :D

Awards Day + Baba & Siam Cafe

We had our school's awards day today. The decorations of the stage and performances were kind of lame this year. It wasn't as grand as what I was expecting. The ceremony began with speeches from our principal and some special guests which was then continued by the award-giving session. Everything went well until there was a time when Maria didn't notice her name was called due to nervousness causing the turn to be messed up. Imagine this, my name was called when the girl in front of me went up to take her prize. So, I was like 'should I just walk or should I wait until they mention the next name?'. Good thing I just walked and didn't wait for them to announce the next name. Otherwise, my name would be Steffano XD

Also, I got 3 awards and apparently, I was the last one to go up stage during one of the sessions. The weather was hot outside and obviously queuing up there would make me sweat. Jonathan just laughed at me because he could go in earlier >_>

The whole thing ended around 10 am. I went back to get some rest and do random stuff while getting online before going out again at 8 pm with my friends. It was just a simple gathering with Esther, Amy, Da Lung, Gary, Huo Sen, and Kiang Wui since we haven't met the two girls for a long time. Two years for me. Our original plan was to eat at Cafe Cafe but it was full inside. So, Huo Sen drove us all to the new Baba & Siam Cafe to try out the food there. That place is nice I must say. It's clear from the name that they are serving Peranakan and Thai cuisines.

Now, I can't wait for tomorrow! :D

Ramadhan Bazaar

Today is the first day of fasting for the Muslims which means the yearly Ramadhan Bazaar is back again! I went to the one opposes Sibu Town Square with my family and the car park was fully occupied that it took some time before we could park.

It seems like the stalls there aren't as much as last year's. That's too bad. Just a few minutes after I began hunting for dinner, it rained heavily. So, I was like 'why did I leave the umbrella inside the car? -___-'

Thank god it stopped after some time. I started walking around again and took some random pictures.

Walking near the barbecue area sure wasn't a good thing. The smoke was pretty irritating.

I was planning on buying the fresh sugarcane drink but omg, the queue was too long and I wouldn't waste my time waiting. I bought corn drink instead :3

Here are what I had for my dinner. Rojak, fried tauhu with sauce, and my favourite red hot sambal egg 8D
