Ohai, Sibu

I'm finally back in Sibu again after spending 3 weeks randoming in KL. Coincidentally enough, I was in the same flight as Aiman and Mona.

I returned to Sibu with a bunch of otaku and Japanese stuff this time. This actually reminded me of how I brought along a lot of anime DVDs when I came back from KL last time. Blame Sibu for not selling all those. LOL.

Talking about those, this is my top favorite Japanese product of all.

Remember when I said Bernard gave me a bokken during Comic Fiesta? Yeah, that is the one. Bringing it into the plane wasn't an easy task because that was considered as a weapon. I had to wrap it properly with a lot of newspapers causing it to weighed about 2 kg or so. Thank god I was allowed to keep it in the cargo with over-sized items after some workers checked it XD

The only otaku stuff I carried along into the cabin were my Lelouch figure and Project Diva glass because they are fragile.

Well, now that I'm back in Sibu again, I'm looking forward to tonight's New Year gathering with my friends :D

Genting Highland

I was supposed to post this one up a few days ago but I was facing internet problem. Yeah, no more broadband for me and DiGi's internet is just too expensive.

Anyways, we went to Genting Highland last Sunday when I was supposed to attend the second day of Comic Fiesta 09'. That was too bad since my tickets were booked already.

At the moment we reached the Skyway station, I could see lots of people lining up there. The queue was just too long.

Our turn finally came after 1 hour plus.

The whole area was covered in white and it was really cold and windy there. Gotta love it though since the weather in KL has been hot lately.

We headed to the outdoor theme park and tried out different games.

I have to admit that out of all, I love this one best.

Yes, it's the Corkscrew. The fact that I got the front most seat added to its awesomeness :D

I would have queued up again if it wasn't because there were too many people wanting to play it. I tried looking for the longest roller coaster there but too bad it was closed down. Probably because of the weather.

We even came across Chocolate Wonderland.

I ended up buying myself a box of dark chocolate.

We went back in the evening since I was planning on hanging out with friends on the next day. Of course we lurked elsewhere and bought some stuff too.

PS:
Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy Birthday, Jamie and Rudi!! :D

Comic Fiesta 09'

Today was epic! Well, I'm sure every otaku felt the same too simply because an animanga convention with over 100 booths was held this morning :P

I started my journey by taking a train to KL Sentral from Wangsa Maju and then a commuter from KL Sentral to Setia Jaya. I had to catch a cab to head to Sunway Pyramid since CF was held there. Everything took me about 1 hour.

I got there pretty early and met Bernard and Sam. They then led me to the others [William, Hugo & Tako]. It was epic seeing them speaking 1337 language to each other XD

Bernard even gave me an epic bokken and a cute lion plushie. Gotta love them~ Thanks a lot <3

Well, we went off to buy our tickets after that. Apparently, there would be one free ticket for every purchase of five tickets. We even got free booklets filled with nice graphics.

We lurked outside for some time before entering the main hall. We saw some rules which have to be followed before entering XD

Eventually, we met up with Stephanie and other friends too who were cosplaying. That was awesome! :D

While waiting for Bernard and Sam having their artworks reviewed by comic artists, William suddenly used his plastic bag to create a new 'costume' for CF.

I just laughed and Hugo somehow followed what William did after that XD

We walked around and Tako was already lurking elsewhere by that time. Sam left for a while too and guess what? He returned with a pair of black neko ears and gave them to me. LOL! Bernard and William got to wear the ears too for the lulz XD

Hmm.. we went to Wendy's for 'nomnomnom-ing' session in the afternoon. I couldn't finish my meal. Guess I shouldn't have ordered the double cheeseburger >_>

We walked around the mall before entering the convention hall again. William and Hugo went to the games area so they got split from us. Me, Bernard, and Sam then stopped at a random booth which offered free posters to whoever drew something on its paper scroll. We were asked to draw anything. Here is what our conversation sounded like:

Me: I don't know what to draw. I phail D:

Bernard: Just draw!

Me: *starts drawing a random face*

Bernard & Sam: Bwahahahahahaha!! XD

Here are our drawings.

I took some random pictures until I came across these.

Nendoroids of Vocaloids! Too bad they weren't for sale D:

Ah well, I bought a Project Diva glass instead. It was imported from Japan and that cost me 48 MYR.

More random pictures for you~

I headed back at around 4:20 pm. Funny enough, the taxi fee to Subang Jaya station was cheaper than that to Setia Jaya station even though it was further. Meh, I didn't care as long as I could get to KL Sentral again. My bokken seemed to be attracting people's attentions though since it was pretty long XD

All in all, CF was made of win! >D

Let's go to the zoo~

I didn't update my blog last night since I was too tired and I was facing connection problem.

Anyways, we went to the zoo yesterday.

The entrance fee has somehow increased to 20 MYR per person and that didn't include the fee to enter insects world. As usual, something like wristbands were tied to our hands before entering the zoo. To be more exact, they were actually our tickets.

We started off by going to the marine lives area. I saw lots of weird creatures. Some were cute though.

We then walked to the house of bees which had lots of beehives.

They sold pure honey there including the one which was ready to be drunk. I bought a cup of royal honey which cost 3.50 MYR.

Lol. I never thought that my honey has turned out to be useful later when we walked to the bears area. All of them seemed to be attracted to its smell, especially those honey bears and they kept on looking at it. They just followed when I moved my cup randomly XD

There was a photography corner where you could take pictures with snake and a little pony. It used to be free if you were using your own camera but not this time. I had to pay 10 MYR for 3 shots using my own camera. Guess what? My camera's battery died right after the last shot.

Next, we went to other remaining areas of the zoo. We took almost 3 hours to walk around. I still snapped some photos even though I could only depend on my phone's camera.

My phone's battery dried up too after the last snap ._.
