A trip to Kuching, Sarawak: Day 1
Our [me, my aunt and her husband) journey from Sibu to Kuching by car started as early as 7:30am. Good thing the weather was good in the morning that we didn't face any problem on the road. We then stopped at Jakar's Peking Restaurant to have our breakfast and as usual, it can't be denied that their noodles taste great and are somewhat different from the ones served in other places. Since we would only arrive at our destination at around 2-3pm and the whole journey was boring considering that you could only see trees and roads, I tried to log into messenger and websites using my laptop in the car. However, my fun time was ruined since there was no network coverage for Celcom broadband at most of the places. It wasn't too surprising though considering that we were far away from any city. We reached Serian at around 1:30pm and had our lunch at Idola Cafe and arrived (finally) at Kuching about an hour later.
We headed to my other aunt's house since we are going to stay there. At the moment I entered her house, the first thing I saw was this.
Haha. It was just Tom, my aunt's fat cat XD
About an hour later, all of us went to one of the new shopping complexes in Kushing known as The Spring. You can find lots of outlets like ESPRIT, Parkson [selling branded stuff], Starbucks Coffee, Kenny Rogers, Shushi King, MPH bookstore, Habib's Jewel and many more. It would be better if they opened up Kinokuniya though =P
After the shopping session, we went to Big Apple Donuts and Coffee to buy its famous and delicious donuts. The long queue there was enough to proof that it's popular.
Also, I finally found what I have been looking for and that was.... the DVD compilation of Vampire Knight season 1 and 2 at SPEEDY! They sell lots of anime there.
And this picture was taken at the 1st floor of The Spring.
Our next destination was Hartz Chicken Buffet which was located in Sarawak Plaza.
Here were what we had there:
1st round: chicken, mashed potatoes, curry etc.
2nd round: Roasted chicken and some other fried stuff.
3rd round: Salad and ice-cream.
4th round: Time for snacks~
We then headed home at around 9:30pm. It was a pretty tiring day but I did enjoy it. Actually, I was suppossed to post this up yesterday but I accidentally left my SIM card inside the car. I was too lazy to get it and thus, resulting in me having no internet connection.
